How great your chances of surviving a fire in your home can be maximized when your smoke detectors are working efficiently. During when members of the family are fast asleep is when most deadly fires occur. A shrill alarm is given off by the smoke detector the instant it detects smoke as it keeps watch 24 hours a day. Being notified of the danger before it escalates will give the family ample time to go out to safety.
